Landlady Detained After Tenants She Evicted Left Dead Body Inside Her House

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detained a landlady identified as Njuguna Wanja Nancy, the owner of the house where the body of an adult woman cut in pieces was discovered in Umoja last week.

Ms Njuguna is detained at Buruburu police station in Nairobi Kenya together with 2 men, a casual worker she hired to remove the dismembered body of a woman wrapped in wedding decor materials and another man who was hired to dump the body at Tumaini primary school in Nairobi.

On Tuesday, Inspector Kanampiu John attached to Buruburu Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices told Makadara magistrate court that the dismembered body of a woman was discovered from Ms Wanja’s rental house.

The landlady is detained together with Otieno Kennedy Omar whom she hired to remove the deceased’s body  and Kimanthi Nicholas hired to do the dumping.

The body of an adult woman was left inside Ms Wanja’s rental house which was occupied by Migwi Kariuki David who disappeared in unknown place. Unfortunately, the landlady has no details of a missing tenant like telephone number, copies of national identity card or the closest relative.

Inspector John revealed that Ms Wanja decided to lock Migwi’s house earlier last month after failing to pay rent for several months.

The tenant who is on the run, came back, broke into the house and took his belongings leaving behind a dismembered body of an adult woman wrapped in wedding decor materials.
