Does It Really Matter Dating Someone Much Older?

For centuries and centuries , we have been seeing women dating older men and this is now a topic not worthy discussing because society has constructed it as normal and that’s why am curious about the new trend today where young men are dating older women. It’s also better to find out whether you have the same relationship goals, according to Psychology today.

This is really a new phenomenon, but I think this is because the meaning of relationships, I mean marriage has changed .Today most of the time it’s about the material gain though, there are also those who are naturally in for real love and other reasons.

To me I think woman emancipation has played a role in this because women no longer depend on men like it used to be that’s why we see many young men dating older women provided they can provide their needs and have material gained unlike the gone days when men were seen as the only providers.

Some women date young men!

Women today are aggressive to the extent that they have made it look acceptable for them to date younger men or boys. It’s noted that women are always happy when a man shows interest and it doesn’t matter whether they are old or young. Am sure many women in their 40s have experienced this, though society makes it difficult for a woman who is older for even one year to date a man who is younger than themselves especially here in Uganda.

It’s assumed that these women always have problems like health problems that’s why they failed to get married before. It is also assumed that these women are seduced by young men into relationships for money which is not always the case.

Some young men date older women!

I came to realize that some young men are dating older women for same reasons as to why the young women are also dating older men, whereby its mostly to do with the material part of it though not all have those reasons, there are those who date those older women just because they believe that they are mature enough, have seen enough and ready to settle for marriage.

At times the young men have their fellow young girl friends with a lot of demands so they end up into dating older rich women with the purpose of getting money from them to meet the demands of their young girl friends of which in some cases even their girls are aware and okay with it, and with this, there for shows that not all relationships aim at lasting marriage today.

Dating sugar mummies and sugar daddies!

The sexual web has been built , there is sugar mummy and of course sugar daddy because my common sense tells me that there is no woman who would allow her man to sleep with another woman unless she’s also doing the same thing.

I also learnt that sugar mummies and sugar daddies are persistent, they do not always allow these young women and men to say “NO” to them, of which they always win them by releasing money and material.

Some people also say older women look for young men because they’re more energetic in bed, while others say these women are simply so desperate looking for attention which the young men can easily provide, because they have a lot of time on their hands yet majority are not good friends of work, so they are very ready to offer attention to these women, provided they have money.
