MC Kats Reveals What To Do When Signing Female Artiste

Events manager and media personality Edwin Katamba aka MC Kats has come out to reveal what one should do when signing a female artiste.

The NBS After 5 presenter said that most female artists are difficult to manage. They usually become proud after getting some money and forget the hustle they have been through to get successful.

Therefore, according to Kats, one should make sure they sign contracts and not simply verbal agreements.

“Female artistes change and abandon their management once they get some money. I’d advise anyone who wants to invest in them to sign contracts,” Kats said.

He added that it’s only artists like Spice Diana who are focused and know what they have been through to get to the top that can stay focused. For the likes of Vinka, Nwagi, and Azawi, they are in labels and therefore have signed contracts.

Kats has previously managed a number of female artistes such as Fille Mutoni. The two started out together over a decade ago when Fille was less known.

They then developed an intimate relationship and even sired a child together and almost walked down the aisle. However, things got sour between them and they bitterly broke up.

Kats also said that some female artistes have a tendency of absconding shows simply because they lack the ‘vibe’ or even don’t like their makeup. This clearly shows the lack of focus for some artists.

Yet it would be great to invest in female musicians because there are few of them who can actually pull crowds.
