However, Kampala MP Hon Muhammad Nsereko has come out to praise her efforts in Ugandan politics and her bold choice.
Ssebugwawo who lost her seat as mayor of Lubaga division to NUP’s Zachary Mberaze was named the state minister for ICT. This led to her party FDC denouncing her membership and branding her a traitor.
Nsereko while appearing on the morning breeze on NBS TV said that what Ssebugwawo had done in FDC is commendable.
“During this struggle, everyone has a contribution. Hon Ssebugwawo has made her contribution. She has built leaders and she’s built FDC. That’s as much as she can run in the struggle. Let’s hope that what she has gone for can helps us or herself achieve.” Nsereko said.
The legislator also aired his views on the cabinet saying that it should teach people some lessons. He said that this should show how president Museveni uses people and then drops them once they are no longer of any value to him.
“The choice of the cabinet should teach people which kind of school president Museveni is from. I believe the school of thought he comes from is “Pick and Play”. He’s the only factor that’s non-variable, for as long as he’s there, the rest are variables.” Nsereko added.
Parliament started vetting and approving ministers appointed by the President yesterday. So far the vice president and prime Minister have been okayed.
