The President through a tweet said that the world should avoid pseudo-ideology in order to avoid different problems.
He added that all the past and present problems have all been brought about by chauvinism and they should avoid this at all times.
“All the past mistakes & present ones; Imperialism, slave trade, colonialism, neo-colonialism, ongoing sectarian conflicts in many parts of the world, all, in one way or another, spring from pseudo-ideology. Abandon all forms of chauvinism & the world will be safer for everybody.” The President tweeted.
A chauvinist is basically someone who has exaggerated or aggressive with their own ideas thinking they are superior and better for everyone.
Pseudo ideology on the other hand is a pretense or falseness of applying something where it clearly won’t succeed or is even unnecessary.
These are all right basing from the President’s views
However, with rise of super powers at the different levels globally, it’s unsure whether this adviceholds any water.
Mr Museveni is one of the most respected leaders both regionally and globally due to his long stay in power.
This has provided him with a vast majority of knowledge in statesmanship. They have always consulted him especially on matters of security.
The President recently while appearing in an interview with France 24 condemned the coup in Guinea that overthrew Alpha Conde.
He suggested that they should tell the coup leaders “to get out” and even suspend them from the African Union. Effectively,
The AU did this yesterday although it’s not clear whether they did it on the advice of Gen Museveni.
