The Uganda law society has tasked the new appointed police chief ochola and his deputy Sabiiti to close the toturing places including nalufenya.

The law society said it hopes the fresh police leadership closes the torturing areas as their first task and they will be of help to see them closed.
Nalufenya is one of the most notorious prisons in Uganda and also of suspects that are detained in this facility have accused it for torture.
However, Police spokesperson, Kayima recently said Nalufenya is legal because it is a gazetted place of detention for high profile suspects
The outgoing Uganda Law Society president Francis Gimara said that the society expects the new leadership to undertake a comprehensive investigation aimed at exposing, arresting and prosecuting both current and former police leaders who through acts of commission and omission have perpetrated several criminal acts.
