Singer Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso has revealed that the late had the biggest impact on his music career.
According to Pallaso, he had always had a dream of getting known to the entire world. He had sang and even moved to the US but nobody ever gave him a nod. People didn’t even know who he was.
This was however to change forever after he stepped into studio with Radio and Weasel.
The group recorded a song titled Amaaso which became a massive hit. Since then, he has never looked back. This also catalyzed his rise to power. He built on this song and became arguably one of the best singers of his time.
“There are lots of tales between me and Radio especially about the things that we shared. But one thing I’m so grateful about is he opened the door for me. For long I had a dream to be a superstar and sing for the world. I wanted the world to know me but it had failed. However, after that song with Radio and Weasel, my doors were opened and I built on it to spread my wings. 8 years later I’m now one of the best and still around,” said Pallaso.
Mowzey was credited for always giving young talent room to progress. Despite his star status, Radio always worked with lesser known artists and these used the platform to grow their careers.
Chameleone who was also with Pallaso said that he misses a lot of things about Radio. And mostly it’s the music he was yet to give which he obviously died with.
