A few days ago, the Operation Wealth Creation Coordinator issued a letter blocking musicians from travelling to Gulu to meet him without appointment.
Ragga Dee however came out to reveal that the letter isn’t to block musicians from travelling to Gulu.
It was instead issued to hotel owners in the city. This letter instructed them to stop hosting artistes claiming that the General will incur the fees of their stay.
“It’s not true that the letter was banning artistes from going to Gulu, it was for the hotel owners who are tricked by these musicians who use their facilities and claim that the General is going to clear the dues,” the singer said.
The Ndigida singer added that the General cannot block people from accessing him because they are the ones he’s working for.
Ragga Dee also said that some musicians just have ill-manners and want to use other people’s businesses for free.
He then proceeded to say that the way they narrate the Gulu story is very different from the reality.
The former lord mayor aspirant said that people think they dish money out there, which is not the case.
“Many people misinterpret the Gulu story. You only go to Gulu on the official invitation of the General. The greedy ones however thought that there is money and that’s why they went there minus invitation,” Ragga Dee added.
Apparently, they chased some musicians including Ziza Bafana from Gulu as they tried to meet General Saleh.
UMA president Cindy welcomed this move and said that the action had weakened the umbrella.
