Rapper Kanye West Releases First Campaign Video Weeks Before Election

American rapper Kanye West, on Monday, released his first campaign video as an ad for his presidential bid. This happened only weeks before the election but is still unclear if the ad will run on television or just on social media.

Over a minute long, the spot shows the rapper speaking about the country acting ‘’on faith’’ in front of a video of a black American flag. He previously posted another video before this one but it was deleted from his account for unknown reasons.

‘’We will build a stronger country by building a stronger family,’’ rapper Kanye West says as pictures of his family and youth are shown on screen.

The main aim of the ad seems to be mainly sending a message of encouragement to the people of California. He encouraged them to write him in as a presidential pick, not just voting for him as a vice-presidential candidate. He is listed as a vice-presidential candidate on the state’s ballot.

Kanye’s presidential run has had a number of ups and downs. He failed to qualify for the ballot in many states. He made headlines in July when he experienced a total breakdown during a campaigning event.

The former diehard Donald Trump supporter has assured the legitimacy of his White House run. However, some political analysts have suggested his attempt to be a Biden-Harris spoiler.
