Relationships Should Be More About One’s Character Than Their Nationality – Martha Kay

Socialite and media personality Martha Kay has decided to provide some advice to people out there looking to get into relationships.

Martha revealed that she gets irritated when a person names ethnicity as one of the traits they look for in a partner.

She further added that relationships should be more about one’s character and abilities. Therefore it should rather not be centered on tribes and this would likely make the world a little less tough.

“One of the silliest statements I have ever heard is, “I want to marry someone from this tribe/that tribe” Relationships should be more about one’s character and less about tribe or nationality. Maybe then, the world would be a little less tough,” the NXT radio presenter said.

It should be noted that this is a very big challenge not only in Uganda but globally. A number of people have even been disowned by their families after choosing to marry someone that doesn’t belong to their tribes.

A case in point is Prince Harry from the UK who married Meghan Markle who is of a mixed race. This incident is rumored to have made Harry the prodigal son in the Royal family. It further forced him to flee to the US as the Royals allegedly didn’t appreciate him marrying a colored.

Racism and tribalism are some of the things that have contributed to global instability. No wonder our forefathers used intermarriages as a peace bringing tool. This is a because when different tribes intermarry, disagreements are less likely to happen.
