However, the ban is to be lifted this very month of June on the 24th 2018.
But, ahead of the lift, a group of women of 10 have got their licenses of driving cars on Monday.
Lifting the ban on women driving in Saudi Arabia is coming after the current Leader of Saudi Arabia King Salman’s decided to allow ladies to drive cars.
It was only in Saudi Arabia where women were not allowed to drive cars.
“Apart from the 10 ladies that were given licenses on Monday, over 2000 licenses are to be issued out for women come next week,” said the ministry of Information in Saudi.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the general directorate of traffic in Saudi will replace international driving licenses recognized in the kingdom with Saudi licenses, in preparation for allowing ladies to drive.
