One Dies, Student Critically Injured After Being Shot By Security Guard

Police in Kampala City charges a security guard who allegedly shot one person to death and critically injured a University student over unknown reasons.

On Wednesday night, the police spokesperson, Mr Enanga Fred said a security guard from Swat Security Company identified as Muhwezi Caleb who was deployed at Pioneer Building on Ben Kiwanuka street in Kampala City shot dead a 36-year-old woman identified as Bukoye Brendah, a resident of Nsambya and also injured a student at Kampala University by the names of Nanyonjo Anita.

The incident however started at around 8:15pm.

According to the police spokesperson, Nanjonjo Anita who was critically wounded is currently admitted at Mulago Referral Hospital.

The security guard was arrested and he’s yet to be interrogated over what exactly happened. He’s to battle with a murder case filed at CPS, sd ref: 81/23/01/2019,’’said Afande Enanga.
