Meshack Alloys, Sendy logistics Chief Executive Officer, says they will rely on the technology to provide cutting edge fast, reliable and efficient logistics services across the region.
He, however, announced she 6.8bn investment into the country to boost business to business transactions in Uganda.
The firm had its official launch at Mestil Hotel on Thursday in Kampala.
Victor Mwangi, the chief commercial officer, said Sendy technology will reduce complexity and high cost of operations of logistics.
“through Sendy transporters will be able to refuse every fleet and empty space on trucks, have transparent pricing and easy tracking of goods in transit,” Victor said.
Hussein Kiddedde, Chairman Uganda Freight Forwarders Association, hailed Sendy for embracing technology in addressing logistics needs saying Uganda is projected to benefit from the service.
According to him, logistics in East Africa is worth USD 50bn business and its projected to grow looking at oil and gas prospects.
