Sheebah Karungi To Light Up East Africa Fashion Gala

Queen of the dance hall music, Sheebah Karungi will perform at the East African Fashion gala slated to take place this Saturday 13^th April at International University of East Africa in Kansanga.

Steve K renowned fashion guru and event organizer confirmed queen of dance hall performance saying the inaugural event focuses on grooming youth to take on fashion as a career amidst many challenges youth find like unemployment.

Fashion and music is massive business for this generation and it’s through this that creative youth cam make money as source of employment Stevez K said.

“Fashion, style and music is trending this generation. We strongly believe its an area that our youth should exploit as career to make killer money and business, ”he notes.

East African fashion gala whose theme is all-white carpet dress code will have music performances, poems, dances,trending style and cultural wear exhibited during the night event.

IUEA Marketing Director Fathlun Alwi says fashion and music is one of the projects the university is promoting as social enterprises to make youth job creators.

“IUEA is technological university of choice that emphasizes creativity, innovations and talent promotion. We shall support our students to exploit their talents and skills in from of fashion, music and entrepreneurship and give them practical’s skills to better themselves in life,”she said.

Fathlun says effective this academic year the university will introduce new courses like entrepreneurship, fashion, international languages and virtual education to enable them remain relevant and beat off competition for university students.
