Kuluthum Embroiled In Property War With Sheikh Muzaata's Relatives

Sheikh Muzaata’s Widow Kuluthum Embroiled In Property War With Relatives

The family of the late Sheikh Muzaata a few days ago took to sharing the deceased’s properties among themselves. His widow Kuluthum, with whom the late has one child was given the house. She however alleged that the relatives wanted to take the car to which she objected.

Kuluthum said that she was worried they could use the car card for the wrong purposes and warned anyone who might get hold of the card.

They asked her about the allegations that Sheikh Muzaata‘s will said that he had no wife. Kuluthum denied the allegations and said that they forged that will.

“We divided the property and we shall finalize the remaining. They had wanted to take the car which belongs to my child. They, however, took the card and I warn anyone especially money lenders that if anyone lends money on it, they will have done it illegally. Those saying Muzaata had no wife just want to undermine him because I’m his wife and I was there.” Kuluthum said.

She added that she’s not trying to seize Muzaata’s property, she’s only doing it for her child. She apparently has her own properties.

However, Muzaata’s older wife and some of the other relatives accused Kuluthum of being a selfish and con woman. These said that she fought so hard to retain the house which they gave her.

They added that she is falsely accusing them of trying to seize the car yet they left it behind.

Muzaata’s older wife Hajjati Bugilita added she built the house they gave Kuluthum but she didn’t want to fight so hard for it.

These accused her of sleeping with her shamba boy a reason Muzaata didn’t include her in his will. Apparently, by the time of his death, she had eloped with the shamba boy and wasn’t at home.
