It should be noted that the legendary stadium has been under construction for several years now. The tycoon however provided an update a few days ago on how far construction has reached.
It’s fair to say that a tremendous job has been done on it. It’s just a matter of days before it is opened for use. Rumor has been making rounds on social media that the Ham Enterprises proprietor is planning to bring Burna Boy on the opening day.
However, it’s also reported that the Common Person singer charges between $700,000-$1000,000 for shows outside Nigeria. The tycoon will therefore have to fork heavy monies out of his pockets to fly him to the Pearl of Africa.
“Burna Boy is scheduled to headline the Nakivubo Stadium’s grand opening. According to Booking Entertainment, the musician charges $700,000 (about Shs2.59B) to $1,000,000 (about Shs 3.7B) for every international show as of 2023.”
However, we all know that money may not be a problem for the young tycoon. The problem might be the production of the concert. And this is what Sheilah pointed out.
According to Sheilah, Burna Boy’s team is very technical when it comes to sound, stage, and light. If these aren’t well looked after, the self-proclaimed African Giant may refuse to perform.
“I hope Mr Hamis Kigunddu knows how technical Burna Boy’s team is about SOUND, STAGE, AND LIGHT. Otherwise, even if you pay Burna boy that money without putting the above into consideration, he will not perform and the loss will be on him,” she said.
