According to the photos circulating online, Omondi’s picture was classified as Kirya Peter. It’s said that he was a head teacher in Masindi but when the DISO came with Museveni’s posters to pin on the school buildings, he informed them the school doesn’t engage in partisan politics.
It’s alleged that the DISO told him he would face the consequences.
On February 12th, 2021 he was picked up by the infamous drones. Kirya was last seen in Lwakalolo Rakai district and is said to have been abducted by a UPDF double cabin.
The images however held by NUP showed Eric Omondi in the campaign dubbed “BringBackOurPeople.”
Of course, netizens were quick to react to the news. Both the regime apologists and critics dove into the matter. Those in opposition to NUP pointed out that the party thinks it will always get away either its lies.
“I tried to resist but I failed, I can’t with these people! @ericomondi254 is your alias Kirya Peter? I honestly feel that NUP people believe that they will insult their way out of anything! And because they have done it for so long, to some of us more than others, we are battle-hardened!” Said a one Marcella Karekye Director at Government Citizen Interaction Centre.
The NUP diehards were quick to point out that this is a mistake and nothing funny about it since people’s lives were taken.
