Efforts were made to have him taken to rehab and he regained some sort of sanity. However, it hasn’t been long and he has apparently relapsed.
It was his landlords who reported the issue to the media. This landlord says that the singer had spent several months without clearing his arrears.
However, to his shock, it’s Jamie who goes to the landlord asking him to pay rent.
A number of people including musicians came out to give their opinions. Jackie Chandiru who has also gone through such a situation says that she thinks that the Wuuli singer suffered a relapse. And all he needs now is counseling and someone to talk to.
A close friend of the singer and songwriter says that the singer’s problem is not drug addiction. It’s rather spirits.
He’s possessed by these ancestral spirits which are tormenting him. And if any solution is to be administered to him, it should be by a traditional healer.
He added that the singer is perfectly fine. This is because one hour you can be talking about sensible things before his mind switches off and he starts to talk about these spirits.
This was confirmed by a doctor from the Uganda Musicians Association.
Apparently, this doctor was approached by UMA President Cindy and secretary general Phina Mugerwa. They instructed him to look for the singer after his family came seeking for help.
Furthermore, this doctor says that they traveled with the singer and his chats show that he’s stable. He told them of the music he has and the ones he wrote.
Surprisingly among the songs he wrote is Spice Diana’s Baligeya Nkona.
There were suggestions to take him to Pastor Tom Muegrwa in Mutundwe for deliverance. This doctor however said this is a decision for the family to take.
