Singer Kalifah Aganaga To Campaign For President Museveni

Struggling musician Mukiibi Sadat known by his stage names Kalifah Aganaga  who was recently denied a ticket from National Unity Platform (NUP) to contest as Rubaga South MP, has reportedly decided to campaign for president Museveni.

On Thursday afternoon however, the ‘Mukyaala Mwami’ Hit maker was spotted at NRM party offices at Kyadondo Road in Kampala where he met with NRM party leaders and agreed on the action plan.

NRM party leaders promised Khalifa a total of 30 million shillings for crossing from National Unity Platform to National Resistance Movement.

Sources close to the singer say he was promised irresistible offer to campaign for president Museveni come 2021. However, we can not be totally sure of Khalifa Aganaga’s moves. He is more like Jose Chameleone who has tasted the political environment of almost every major political party in Uganda.

Ambitions;

The singer recently started a fundraiser campaign drive. He is seeking for as low as Shs1,000 from each well-wisher to obtain enough money. This he says is to help his upcoming campaigns  oust the current Rubaga South MP, Kato Lubwama.

Kalifa Aganaga recently made comments about his support for Chameleone who was knock-off  the Kampala NUP mayoral primaries. He jumped off the NUP party to support Chameleone and well, now he is getting it on with the NRM. Before we know it, he might cross to the FDC. And then to DP and any other party that is desperate for members.

The Rubaga South Incumbent Hon. Kato Lubwama however advised Aganaga to backoff from politics unless he is sure of his financial stability. Aganaga has no political background, the only thing he is dwelling on is his feeling that he can make it, even when the odds right now are against him.
