Two robbers who were armed with knives attacked Simuyu as he was escorting two of his colleagues to the hostel, according to Kiambu police commander Mr Nuno Ali.

The attack which left Simiyu’s lips cut off before robbing his Smartphone took place at around 9pm on Philo 1 Street near Seagull Hotel.

The victim’s colleagues managed to escape without being hurt after stealing their mobile phones.

After the thugs cut off Simiyu’s lips, he began bleeding severely and was rushed to JKUAT healthcare center, ‘said witnesses.

On Thursday morning, the victims reported the matter to the police Station and made a statement confirming the scene of attack, number of robbers and the weaponry used.

In the report, the robbers who took advantage of power outage attacked and asked them to surrender their valuables, but Simiyu thought it was a joking matter, which prompted the thugs to attack him first before stealing all their mobile phones.
