Taraji P. Henson Says The Pandemic Fueled Her Suicidal Thoughts

Taraji P. Henson, the 50-year-old actress says the Covid-19 pandemic led her to start thinking about committing suicide earlier this year. The Empire star made this daring revelation on her Facebook Watch Show Peace of Mind with Taraji.

‘’For a couple of days, I couldn’t get out of the bed, I didn’t care, that’s not me. Then I started having thoughts about ending it. I could go in there right now, and just end it all,’’ the Washington D.C. native said.

The ‘’What Men Want’’ actress could feel herself falling out of her network with her friends and loved ones amid thoughts of self-harm. She said people were calling her and she declined to respond. At the moment she just did not care at all.

However, she said she finally decided to talk to one of her girlfriends for the reason of not wanting them to think she is crazy. One of the other reasons she revealed for finally talking is she doesn’t want them to come and see her because she still felt like she should be alone for a while.

She said that one day she just bluntly admitted to her friend and immediately felt relief after coming forward with the difficult admission. She even cast out the suicidal thoughts and said she now wouldn’t do it.
