UK Based Congolese identified as Belly Mujinga, 47, who was an employee at Victoria Station in London has died of coronavirus after being identified with female colleague by a member of public while on duty in central London.
According to BBC, Ms Mujinga’s husband identified as Gode Lusamba said a man came and found his wife standing at the entrance and asked her what she was doing there, she told him that she was working and the man aggressively told her that he had coronavirus, after that he spate on her.
Police in UK launched investigations into the incident.
In Uganda so far, there are no fatality cases but it’s now becoming viral for Africans living abroad loosing their lives due to COVID-19 complications. Many people believe it’s because the government officials in those countries consider their citizens first more than foreigners.
In United States two weeks ago, three Ugandans died of coronavirus and this became a national concern among several people including speaker Kadaga who demanded for government plan to repatriate all the affected Ugandans back to their motherland.
While on social media, Belly Mujinga ‘s death shocked many who blamed the Government for failing to take action.
“It’s because of money but we don’t deserve to stay in those countries I wish home was okay” One of the Facebook in laws commented.
