University Denies Offering Degree In Witchcraft

A university in eastern Kenya has come out to deny reports that it is enrolling students for a witchcraft degree.

The Machakos University said the reports were malicious and intended to taint the integrity of the university.

They quickly released an official statement on the matter via their Twitter page.

Kenyan news sites and blogs had published articles about the launch of a four-year course in witchcraft at the institution. This came off as very disturbing to many people as they view witchcraft as a backward act associated with ignorance.

However, some people also went as far as tweeting Machakos University asking for more information on this particularly controversial course. They were apparently asking if they could get admission into the institution. Furthermore, some even cracked jokes and asked if the university has a “faculty of satire”.
