Why You Shouldn’t Say Yes To New Relationship Until You Are Sure

The temptation to always say yes to a new relationship proposal is always high. Especially if it finds you at a time when you had just left a relationship. Usually, when people are from relationships, they are vulnerable and they think the pain will go when they decide to jump into another relationship.

What they don’t know is that they are adding salt to the wound.

You know every time you go into a new relationship, you are opening up a chapter in your life. So it’s best to first be sure about the kind of person who wants you before you accept them. There is no problem with being friends first for as long as you want.

During that time, be intentional about studying them. Let it not just be about having fun, going out but go the extra mile to find out the inner person.

Of course, people are always at their best when they want something from you. It’s hard to see the other side of them but there is a way. Play games with them, see how they relate as they are having fun.

You can intentionally get on their nerves to see how far they can go. Don’t be under pressure thinking if you don’t say yes, they will go. Whatever is yours will always find its way to you.

Taking your time saves you a lot of negative impacts. Every time you are in a relationship with someone, you are giving them a piece of yourself. This means when you are leaving, you will have to build the space where the missing piece was.

Healing takes a lot of time so if you can avoid putting yourself in a place where you will break, avoid it. Only relate with a person you see yourself with in marriage.
