A Burundian asylum seeker,  identified as Ntwari Regis Marie (28) who was seen detained at Kireka police station for over close to two weeks has suddenly disappeared, triggering concerns about his safety and well-being.

Sindayigaya said her husband was arrested by security officers from the International police ( INTERPOL) Uganda and handed over to Uganda’s Internal Affairs ministry.

However through Tegule, Ntwari filed an application to the high court barring his extradition to Burundi which court presided by Justice Boniface Wamala issued an order restraining Ntwari from being deported.

However whereas Tegule claims his client was stealthily deported to Burundi, no official documents were presented to show how the exercise was carried out against a court order and neither was he sighted at Entebbe airport when the alleged deportation took place.
