Upcoming Singer Vyroota Reveals He Was Blocked From Performing At Eddy Kenzo Festival

Upcoming singer Vyroota has revealed that he’s already been a victim of the politics in the music industry. Appearing on the NBS KURT show with Tuff B, the Addicted singer revealed how he was blocked from performing at the Eddy Kenzo Festival.

This happened at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds last year in November. Well, Vyroota says that this individual put up a situation that stopped him from performing.

However, what shocked him is that this same person found him in a different place. He asked for his number as he wanted to give him a gig.

The singer added that now is not the time to expose such people because he still needs them. But in future he will surely do.

“The politics in the music industry is already there and I have been a victim of it already. I remember one day someone blocked me from performing at the Eddy Kenzo Festival. It’s something that I haven’t forgotten. And this individual found me somewhere and asked for my contact. I didn’t remind him because for now I still need them but someday I will not,” the upcoming singer said.

Now, the Ugandan music industry is one with untold levels of jealousy. One basically has to be profiting something from you to give you a platform.

Furthermore, Vyroota also expressed his disappointment in the Hipipo Awards.

He said that he was nominated last year in these awards in the breakthrough category. According to him, he was nominated alongside the likes of Rahmah Pinky, Ronald Alimpa, Kataleya and Kandle.

However, for these musicians, it’s their hit songs which were nominated. For his case it was a song that he had released a day earlier that got nominated which was barely known.
