Apparently, NRM lost badly in Buganda Region in recent elections which was once it’s stronghold.
The previous elections further showed the party was decimated in the Central region and had work to do.
However, party spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa says that very soon, they will have the region under their claws again.
He added that the Kayunga election which NUP disputes was clearly won by NRM.
“I want to assure you that the mission to reclaim Buganda region as NRM has started. NRM won the election in Kayunga, we celebrated our win, and more celebrations are coming.”
Further speaking about this election, Mulindqa said that they were well aware of NUP’s candidate Nakweede’s plans.
This is because they had planted moles in her circles.
He added that these sources told them that Nakweede was not given a single coin by NUP for campaigning.
Mulindwa also said that as the NRM, they know their weaknesses and are working on correcting them.
“Among the 100 people who were near Harriet Nakwedde, NRM had 50 informants out of them. There is no secret we didn’t know.
“Our sources told us that NUP didn’t even give Harriet Nakwedde any single coin besides printing her posters.
We know our weaknesses as NRM, and we know the weaknesses of the opposition. We shall capitalize on that to win in even more places,” Mulindwa added.
NUP however still disputes the election results maintaining that they won the election by over 15000 votes.
Kyagulanyi said that what happened in Kayunga is just part of the scheme Museveni did in the January presidential elections.
He urged all oppressed citizens to garner collective efforts to deliver the country from the mess it’s embroiled in.
