What It Takes To Be Successful Entrepreneur

More often when I interact with my friends, especially those who are trying to do some businesses, I always ask what it take to be a successful entrepreneur.

Those who you may regard as dull, who are not fluent in delivering speeches, those who don’t show supper intelligence are the ones who are most successful in business.

In my book ‘The Herdboy’. There are very simple methods and processes that I took as I was building my empire of businesses. You will never find a supper sophisticated method that you can pick from my story.

There are many similar stories around the globe how most successful entrepreneurs built their businesses.

Read the story of Jack Ma the founder of Alibaba, The founder of KFC or even other successful entrepreneurs from your own communities. You would find out that most of them have a very poor background and there were neglected somewhere somehow.

I have very brave friends, some who are motivational speaker, some who are super good with words and most educated but when it comes to business, there is nothing practical that comes out.

I always ask them that guys tell me, where are you missing it?. Honestly most of them just say we don’t know but we are trying.

Name one motivational speaker that you know is a successful entrepreneur.

They can teach you best ways to make money but in their lives they will have less or nothing.

So what am saying today is not being smart or too learned is a problem. My observation is that to be successful in business just use simple methods. You don’t need a too complicated method to be successful in business.

You just need to master numbers. Be good with balancing numbers.

When my team submit their reports, I can argue with them sometimes by just looking at the figures. All accountants that I have worked with can testify that. And 99% of the time I question their figures, after doing a review, they will realize that I was right.

To be a successful business person, you need to be able to balance figures. To balance that if you are to take $10 from here to there, how much can you make out of such a transaction.

Many good businesses need very simple methods. A person can build an empire by just selling bricks, cigarettes, bear, eggs, chickens. People will say you want to tell us that he/she is making all that money from just selling sweets or eggs.

The answer is YES that’s all. That idea which seems very simple is what someone is doing to earn a living.

Most successful business people have raised to high places from just a simple method.

When I was in Botswana, I used to make a lot of money from selling concrete stones. These were stones I used to gather in the bushes and sell them to people who were building their houses.

It looked simple but I was making a fortune. That idea or simple method that you have been avoiding please try it in 2021. It could be the foundation of your success.

You don’t need a sophisticated method. Just your simple idea that you understand is enough to start a successful business.

That’s why you see many simple people are successful in business yet those learned once are in circles, with their well spoken English, confidence and smart dressing but with empty pockets.
