Where Does The Continued Strike Of Teachers Leave Students?

Teachers have continued to strike over salary increments which has left many asking where this is going to leave the students.

Much as everyone has a point, no one has thought about the students and how they are going to cope up with the situation.

On top of missing a lot during the Covid lockdown, this too is costing them. However, their counterparts in private schools are studying.

The government should probably find a better solution to this striking problem because threatening teachers has only brought more resistance.

The teachers have insisted on the sit-down strike until their salaries are enhanced. Earlier on, the government decided to only increase on the science teachers’ salaries. However, the arts teachers also put up a fight.

Much as the Prime Minister says the teachers voiced their issues after the budget was made, teachers insist something can be done.

“The teachers union started the strike when we had concluded the budget. When it started, I called these people but none of them wanted to meet us, they only wanted to meet the president.”

Meanwhile, students have lost a month already from their school program. Parents paid school fees so how is this going to be compensated?
