We have all heard that if her character is not appealing, she is not wife material. However, do you know that you need more than good character for a wife? Weird, right?, but it is as true as it sounds. There is more to a wife than just a noble character. It’s even deeper than her physical beauty. Many people have blundered because of mixing up these things.

You know, when God created a woman, he was very intentional about everything. This is why in the Bible God calls her a helper and that is not a mistake. It’s not absurd when the world says behind every successful man there is a woman. Whether you believe it or not, all the two are very true and actually practical if you look at them.

A woman was made in a way that she can push her man for success. I know we have heard a lot of stories where men have admitted this and more. Good character is very wonderful, however, it’s not an indication that she is the one for you. Your wife must be able to help you, push you for success, counsel you in times of doubt. In any case, she should be like that force that makes you better.

Don’t get me wrong though, this in any way doesn’t mean you should end up with a mannerless woman for a wife. Look beyond the good character and ask yourself these questions;

Is she the type that can she lift you up when you are down?

Can she sit you down and show you what’s right when you’re losing your way?

Can she pray for you?

There is just a lot to consider when you’re choosing a lifetime partner. Let her have that noble character, but let her also have the brains to guide you.
