It is suicide for a married person to have a huge number of single friends around them. You just may not know the gravity of this until you need advice on a few things. What will they tell you yet they are not married? It is so easy for such friends to tell you to run from your marriage. It’s so easy for such friends to actually destroy your home.

Make as many friends as you want but let your inner circle be as limited as possible. Whether you believe it or not, the people you spend most of your time with have a great impact on you. So, if most of the friends you have are single, you may be working hard to be like them. It is not right when you take advice from someone who isn’t in the field.

Not that they can’t give you good advice, but most of them will speak from hearsay experience. Actually, for better results, just avoid cliques, even married ones sometimes. Meet people when you have to meet them. Make sure you limit the talks about your marriage and only speak when necessary. Just be intentional about this and it will work so.

When you get married, you have a lot of people on your mind. Don’t allow any toxic person to make you think marriage is bad or you made a mistake. Concentrate on your marriage, pray, make it work. Most of those friends who are single have a lot of time. Try to limit the time you meet them, join married’s clubs so as when you need advice, you don’t struggle.
