Workers Anchor man told trade union leaders shortly after being sworn in parliament.
The former chairman of Departed Asian Properties Board and husband to state minister local government Hon Jennifer Namuyangu pledged to table minimum wage bill so ensure that workers attain minimum wage in the country.
Top on his agenda is to procure two brand new double pick ups for national organisation of trade union and Central organisation of trade union the top trade unions lobbying and fighting for workers rights in the country.
“Am a man of action and its time to implement my manifesto. What has been lacking in parliament is legislators who deliver than concentrating in politics,” he said.
“I will procure brand new double cabin pick ups and deliver to coftu and notu for trade union mobilization. I will also continue with my motorcycle loan system to boost trade unions recruitment and mobilization drives,” Byakatonda added.
Before the swearing in Dr Byakatonda was engaged in mobilization of trade union leaders into cooperative saccos and training of journalists.
