The president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni during yesterday’s nation address announced 11 more cases of coronavirus of which these victims are Watoto church choir members.
The eleven victims were among the 176 samples being tested on Tuesday by ministry of health in Uganda, this brought the total number of coronavirus cases to 44.
“Out of the 176 people tested, 11 of them tested positive and are all children of Watoto Church Choir who are still in mandatory quarantine. They picked the disease from outside,” President Museveni said during the national address he called to make a clarification on the possible preventive measures he issued earlier this week against the spread of the deadly epidemic.
The Watoto children who had returned from the UK were immediately placed in a mandatory quarantine.
Among the choir members 6 girls between the age of 7 to 10 tested positive while the 5 elder ones from the same choir between the age of 26 to 30 also tested positive, making the total of 11.
