23-Year Old Man Arrested With Gun Stolen From Police Station

A 23 year old man identified as Onyango Oduor Kelvin was on Sunday arrested in Siaya County Southwestern part of Kenya with a gun allegedly stolen from a police station last year.

Onyango was apprehended by detectives who had arrived as buyers, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

In the course of arrest, the detective officers also recovered a G3 fire-battle rifle with 13 rounds of ammunition which was stolen from Umala Police station in 2019.

The detective officers also recovered a police rain-coat, a pair of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) trouser and a smoke camouflage jacket.

Onyango was detained at Siaya police station as police continues to hunt for the second suspect who happened to escape.
