Angry Boda Boda Cyclists Set Fire On Police Car After Fatal Accident

Angry boda boda cyclists and residents on Sunday night set fire on a police vehicle on Kutus –Kianyaga road in former central province of Kenya, Kirinyaga County.

The incident took place after 2 passengers were being killed in a fatal road accident which involved boda boda and police car at Rwambati area on Kutus-Kianyaga road.

According to eyewitnesses, a speeding boda boda, which was carrying 2 people, tried to overtake another vehicle and in the process, it collided with the oncoming police car on Kutus-kianyaga road at around 8pm.

The deputy OCPD of Gichugu, Mr Ng’eno Alfred confirmed the accident saying the boda boda cyclist himself died instantly, whereas one of the passengers died at the health centre and the second passenger is undergoing treatment after being injured badly.

I blamed the boda boda cyclist for riding while drunk,’said deputy OCPD.

After the incident, the angry boda boda cyclists surrounded the police car and set it on fire, something he strong opposed saying they will hunt for residents who acted weirdly.
