The earlier decision to release Oscar Pistorious has been suspended

The Justice minister of South Africa Masutha Micheal considered a petition to stop Oscar Pistorious’s release from prison on Wednesday, therefore, he has ordered a parole review board to decide if to allow the Paralympian to spend all his five year sentence under house arrest.

This is a media release on Oscar Pistorious from Ministry of Justice and correctional services: Republic of South Africa.

Oscar had spent 10 months in jail for killing his girl-friend Reeva Steenkamp two years ago whom he thought she was an intruder in his house at that time, however, the decision to release him was first made on 5th June which was prematurely because he has not served the sixth of his five year sentence as required by law.
