If You’re Marrying Because You’re Lonely, You will End Up Lonely, Here’s Why

People marry for a lot of reasons that seem valid. However, to marry because you’re lonely is the most unrealistic and dangerous reason you can give. Loneliness is something whose solution is not marriage but it’s something psychological. Most people who have ended up in marriage because they were lonely came out more lonely than they went in.

First of all, the party that is lonely is most likely to be overly possessive because they don’t want to be alone. So you will find that the other party in form of frighting back becomes rebellious. A marriage like that is not going anywhere. This is how domestic violence starts sometimes. The husband may think you don’t want to be around because you are wooed by another.

At any time, you feel your loneliness can only be sorted by marriage then don’t do it. Truth be told, sometimes your partner may not be so around as you think they should. Life has to happen, work has to move. When the children come in, they need to eat, so do you really think, they will be around you 24/7?

Marriage is sacred and even when God was creating Eve, he didn’t do it because Adam was lonely, it was because he was alone. He was alone fulfilling a purpose. So the main purpose of marriage is to actually work together, grow together because two heads are better than one. Anyone who feels they are lonely, they should first deal with it before going into marriage.
