Kenyan Woman Arrested For Neglecting Her Young Children For Days

Police in Machakos town arrested a Kenyan woman aged 28 on Friday for allegedly abandoning her 3 young kids for several days.

The kids, aged 1, 4 and 6 were discovered by one of her neighbours in Eastleigh Estate in Machakos town.

According to her neighbours, this Kenyan woman was found of locking up her kids in a one roomed house.

She could at times leave them for nearly 5 days without anything to eat, ‘they added.

Concerned neighbours who were fed up of this woman’s behavior towards her children reported the matter to the police, who quickly responded by arresting her the following day.

All the three children were taken to the department of Children’s Services (DCS) which is under Ministry of Gender, Children and Social development, Kenya.

The suspect is currently detained at the area police Station.
