There’s life after cancer – Don’t Lose Hope

Raynolda’s brief experience about cervical cancer!

‘When I was told I have cervical cancer, I was scared because I knew nothing about this illness, except that it was a killer. I quickly sunk into depression, which then led to a minor stroke. The only thing that kept me standing was my faith and my need to live for my two children.

After 29 chemotherapy sessions and 18 radiation treatments, I went in to remission and have been a proud and vocal cancer survivor for over 16 years.

I promised myself I would not be quiet about my experiences. Today I regularly visit 13 clinics, educating the patients and their families on the realities of cancer, planting seed of positivity wherever I can, holding the hands of those who walk alone. I have reached 42,000 people face-to-face and will continue to do this work. For this I’m eternally grateful to the Almighty.

My advise to people suffering with cancer is to live. Live your life to the fullest, be positive and spend your time looking on the bright side. Focus on your treatment and don’t let any one get in the way of that. There is life after cancer.
