The Vice President, Jessica Aleppo represented her superior and delivered his message. She delivered it at a ceremony held to mark 20 years of CURE Hospital Mbale City.
In the message, the president noted that without the facility, Ugandans would be going abroad to seek services being offered here. He further noted that the peaceful situation in the country favored the establishment of the facility.
He also hinted on the government policy that attracts foreign investors to operate in Uganda.
CURE Uganda hospital is a specialized facility in taking care of children’s neurological needs. And apparently, it is the only facility of its kind in the Sub Saharan region of Africa.
The colorful ceremony commemorating the 20th anniversary of CURE Uganda hospital took place on Friday at the facility. The hospital founder, Dr. Tim Erikson, senior management members and Vice President Jessica Alupo graced the ceremony.
Jessica Alupo took her time to tour the facility, interacting with patients and care givers. She did this to help her understand how the hospital operates.
