NRM Spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa Reveals Why Hon Francis Zaake Threw Away Speaker’s Money

The NRM spokesperson, Rogers Mulindwa, has come out to reveal why Hon. Francis Zaake threw away the money that the speaker of Parliament gave him as a wedding gift.

Although Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon Francis Zaake’s wedding happened last week, its still the talk of some politicians and some sections of the public up to now.

This is partly due to the allegations that the MP ferociously threw away the wedding contribution of Shs 10m from Anita Among.

The NRM spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa has come out to reveal why Zaake did such an act. According to Mulindwa, this wedding was bound to go unnoticed by the public. Zaake therefore decided to pull some publicity stunt which worked in his favor.

However, whats baffling is that he threw the money near his father. Mulindwa is therefore confident that someone in his camp picked it up.

“Hon. Zaake threw the money near his father, and I am sure he went and picked that money later on. This wedding wouldn’t make news. Zaake had to think about ways he can make it to the news hence throwing the cash contribution from the Speaker.”

Mulindwa wasn’t done about this wedding as he said that Kyagulanyi was a notable absentee.

And this was not just a mere absence, there is a strong reason why the president of the party where Zaake belongs missed. Mulindwa promised to reveal this reason some time from now.

However Kyagulanyi has been out of the country on party duties for the past couple of days. He however sent a congratulatory message to Zaake and his wife, Bridget Namirembe.

Meanwhile Zaake said that he didn’t at any one time invite the Speaker to his wedding. Therefore, the circulating tweets are wrong and forged. Besides, he didn’t need her contribution.

“Disregard this forged invitation letter. I did not invite the Speaker of @Parliament_Ug to my wedding. I didn’t need, seek or receive any financial contribution from her. And I won’t ask the author of the false tweet to prove her allegations — she can’t prove what doesn’t exist,” Zaake tweeted in regards to the circulating invitation letters to the Speaker.
