Roofings Unveils Its New Brand Logo As The Company Marked 25 Years

Steel giant Roofings Limited has unveiled its new brand logo as the company celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Last week Partners, distributors, suppliers, staff and well-wishers were treated to an evening of cocktails, food and entertainment during the Launch its logo at Roofings Rolling Mills in Namanve.

“Today is a very special day for us. We are celebrating a 25-year-old journey of partnerships, compliance, growth, employment, hard work, innovation, service dedication and success. Over these years, we have turned a home grown brand into a trusted brand and the market leader of steel and plastic construction products in Uganda,” Oliver Lalani Roofings Executive Director remarked.

Dr. Sikander Lalani, the Roofings Chairman, commended staff for hard work however said that there is still so much to do.

“Over the past 25 years, we have worked passionately to uphold the high standards in business processes. Our efforts towards producing the best quality products, creating thousands of jobs, investing in new technologies and protecting the environment from pollution have changed the way Africa looks at Uganda,”Mr. Lalani noted.

The leading producer of steel and plastic construction materials, Roofings Group has been a major contributor to a number of major construction projects in Uganda. From Kaluma dam, the new Nile Bridge in Jinja to the new Southern bypass, Roofings has played a major part in Uganda’s development. Furthermore, the manufacturer employs high-tech machinery and state-of-the-art technology to ensure that all the products maintain the best quality standards.

Sikander Lalani was appreciated and decorated with a plague with the Order of the Rising Sun Award from the Emperor of Japan in recognition of his long and mutually beneficial business relationship with the People and companies in Japan and his dedication towards ensuring favorable employment to Ugandans..

Roofings Group has 2 separate entities operating under its umbrella; Roofings Limited and Roofings Rolling Mills. Roofings Group is fully ISO certified in: Quality management systems (ISO 9001), Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Roofings Rolling Mills (RRM) is one of the largest and most modern steel complexes operating in East and Central Africa. Based in the industrial park, RRM is strategically located to serve both the local Ugandan market and the markets of EAC and COMESA. It has access to Lake Victoria through Port Bell, roads and railway lines to cater for Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, DRC and Southern Sudan. RRM is a backward integrated plant which produces inputs for the steel industry.

Products manufactured at the company include; roofing iron sheets (Aluzinc), hollow sections, TMT bars, mild steel hot and cold rolled plates, open profiles, wire products, galvanized wire & wire products and the Roofings plastic poly pipes. All products are widely used for building domestic, commercial, public and industrial structures.

Established in 1994 under license of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), the company launched operations in December 1995 and has never looked back. As a trail blazer, Roofings Group’s subsidiaries tell a story of success that has helped weave the path for the Roofings Group vision to be birthed sooner than originally anticipated.
