Ruparelia Foundation To Offer Scholarships

As part of corporate social responsibility, Ruparelia group is offering bright students scholarships to peruse higher education this academic year.

The scholarship that covers tuition fees will be given to students wishing to pursue health sciences, business management, humanities, petroleum studies and technology.

Rajiv Ruparelia director of the foundation says this year’s edition will benefit over 1000 students.

The Ruparelia Foundation works to improve and promote health, education, sports, general welfare, poverty eradication, improve livelihoods, support the welfare of wildlife and preservation of the environment by fostering partnerships among businesses, corporations, with the government, non-governmental organizations and individuals. Dr. Sudhir is the founder and chairman of the Ruparelia Foundation.

Born in 1956 at Mengo Hospital in Kampala, Dr. Sudhir’s story of entrepreneurship is an inspiration in hard work.
Coming from a family of Ugandan Asians who migrated to Uganda in 1903,

Dr. Ruparelia owns hotels, education institutions, flori-culture and leisure industry.

Ruparelia Group of Companies employs over 6,000 people, predominantly Ugandans, with a large proportion being women. All business entities are regular and substantial supporters of various corporate social activities in sports, healthcare, arts and culture, heritage and religion. Individually and as a family.
