Sex Workers Accuse Teenagers And Youth Of Demanding Unprotected Sex

Sex workers at Kasensero in Kyotera revealed that they receive cases of the youth who are seriously demanding for unprotected sex which could turn out to be dangerous.

The sex workers said this may rapidly increase HIV/AIDS virus in the region if no action taken to sensitize the teenagers.

They continued and said they get several types of customers every night ranging from teenagers, youth as well as the married men. Shockingly, the teenagers and the youth at Kasensero landing site normally ask for unprotected sex even though many of them know that some sex workers already have the HIV virus.

5 of them in Masanvu area talked to one of the reporters from daily monitor and said that they are already infected with HIV and some of them are using ARVs. They admit that because of busy schedule, they find themselves taking their drugs late.

One of the fishermen known as Samuel, aged 20, said he cannot pay his money and then put on a condom, it’s like buying sweet and enjoy it without removing the kaveera.

Most of the women in this sex business want to be anonymous since they are married and others lied their family members that they are doing sensible businesses at the landing site.
