Soldier Shoots Three Relatives Dead, Then Commits Suicide

On Tuesday morning, a soldier from Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) drove directly to his relative’s home and shot 3 people dead before shooting himself.

The incident took place at Jua Kali in Eldoret at around 5:30am.

The soldier who’s based at Gilgil town, Nakuru County traveled on Monday night to his relative’s home in Eldoret where he shot his two uncles and his stepmother to death.

Eldoret West Police boss, Mr Bitok Zachariah confirmed the incident and said police officers have begun investigations to establish what really caused the incident.

The soldier drove from his homestead while armed specifically to kill his relatives,’said Zachariah.
