There Is No Turbulence In NUP – Nkunyingi Muwadda

The Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency & Shadow-Minister for Foreign Affairs Nkunyingi Muwadda has come out to downplay rumors of splits inside NUP.

According to Muwadda, NUP is still intact and all the chaos is being created by the NRM.

Nkunyingi Muwadda added that nothing will threaten NUP, their real offices are there in Kamwokya. Furthermore, Muwadda said that NUP leaders will maintain their offices for the next five years. And therefore Kibalama’s actions won’t affect the party in anyway.

“There is no turbulence in NUP. NRM is doing all those things because of the fear of NUP. They are doing all that to disorganize the voters.

NUP has a constitution, and the people in the executive will still maintain their positions for the next five years. What Kibalama is doing doesn’t affect the party in any way. There is nothing that will threaten NUP. Our real office is in Kamwokya,” Muwadda sounded out a warning.

For the past few days, there has been chaos in the current biggest opposition political party. The founding members of NUP led by Moses Nkonge Kibalama opened up new offices in Kabowa.

These claimed that they had decided to reclaim their party after Bobi Wine’s led party breached part of the agreements agreed upon originally.

The Electoral Commission however proceeded to reassure Bobi Wine’s Kamwokya NUP wing that they are the legal owners of the party.

This is according to the documents they have as Kibalama legally handed over the party to the former Kyadondo east legislator.

However, according to NRM, Kibalama is invisible to them. They are way past that level of using Kibalama to disorganize NUP because they don’t have the time.
