In a bid to remain relevant in offering cutting edge education,Victoria University has introduced logistics and transport industry course among its programmes.
The course tenable at its headquarter on Jinja road will be taught at certificate and diploma level.
Victoria University Vice Chancellor Dr.Krishna Sharma says the course aims at strengthening logistics industry management practices to enable players compete globally in business.
“The local logistics industry is still at its infancy and we believe to support it grow globally we introduced logistics course to ensure that practitioners upgrade their career to deliver competitive service to the industry,” Sharma said.
He revealed this in an exclusive interview with Newslex Point at university premises ahead of September 4th graduation that will be held at Speke Hotel Munyonyo on 6th September under the theme: Developing agent if change.
According to university officials Kampala business man and distinguished entrepreneur Dr.Patrick Bitature will be the chief guest speaker to mentor and advise the graduates on life after university, career development and job creation.
Victoria University is one the leading private universities in Uganda teaching cutting edge courses that are relevant to the job market and demand driven.
The university has cut a niche in oil and gas,medical courses, business and ICT courses.Because of this the university has been able to attract students from Ethiopia, South Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, DRCongo, Nigeria and South Africa.
