VIDEO: Angry Woman Beats Up Husband Over failure To Pay Rent

A Kenyan angry woman only identified as Nyakech who beat up her husband after he refused to pay rent has been charged with assault by a Makadara court.

Nyakech commited the crime inside their rented house in Shauri-Moyo estate in Kamukunji constituency Nairobi on 22nd February. She admitted the charges before magistrate Kanyiri Eva.

According to court, Nyakech demanded rent money from her husband identified as Ombulo, who boldly said he never had any money.

The angry woman quickly picked an empty bottle and hit him on the left side of the face. She admitted the facts of the case as read out to her by prosecution lawyer Mburugu Joseph.

My husband was fond of fighting with me and bring other women to the house,’ she narrated.

She said that one day she left home for an errand at around 4pm, but after moving for quite a distance, she felt it was insecure and decided to return home. She was very shocked seeing him with another woman.

Nyakech pleaded for leniency maintaining to have acted out of anger.

The principal magistrate ordered for her social inquiry report to be submitted before her on 5th March before penalizing her.

Mr Makau is said to have provoked his tenants at Evergreen apartments in Machakos town after he approached them demanding for payment of April in full amount.
During the argument, 2 of his tenants came out and asked him to help them pay part of the money in an effort to protect them amid this economic crisis of coronavirus pandemic.
