Woman To Spend 20 years In Prison For Killing Husband On Valentine’s Day

A woman, aged 27 subjected to 20 years of her life in prison after she was found guilty by Mukono High Court in Central Uganda for killing her husband.

The State lawyer Kiconco Agnes told court in charge of magistrate Okalony Suzan that on 14th February 2018, Nakku Jackline at their home in Mukono Municipality banged her husband Ssenyonjo Eric with an iron bar several times on the head, thus killing him on spot.

According to the prosecutor, Eric’s body was found in a pool of blood with a panga, brick and an iron bar on the side.

After murdering her husband, Jackline immediately came out of the house and started alarming which attracted residents and she told them that unknown thugs broke into their house and killed her husband,’prosecutor told court.

Nevertheless, witnesses told court that Jackline and Eric had misunderstanding on several occasions where Eric accused Jackline of having an affair with another man which caused them to have a serious fight.
