Ykee Benda Reveals Legacy He Wants To Leave Behind In Music Industry

Mpaka Records boss Wycliffe Tugume popularly known as Ykee Benda has come out to reveal how he wants to be remembered in the music industry.

The Superman singer said that he wants to remember him as someone who contributed to other musicians in the industry..

And truly he has already partially achieved this goal. The singer is behind the rise and success of singer Dre Cali. Ykee Benda has surely pumped a lot of efforts into the Ekifuba singer’s career.

Furthermore, Ykee also has a record label fully equipped with audio and video equipment that helps a number of people in the arts industry.

The singer also revealed that the late Mowzey Radio inspired him. He added that they should honor and remember the late Radio. This is because he was an exceptional talent like no other.

“The late Mowzey Radio is my music hero and he should be celebrated because he was exceptional,” Ykee Benda further said.

This comes during a week that reminds Ugandan music lovers of the tragedy that befell the industry in 2018 when radio died.

This was after he sustained injuries in a bar brawl in Entebbe that sent him to the ICU. He never woke up from this coma again as he passed away on the 1st of February 2018.

Tributes have been coming in for the singer this week which marked his 37th birthday.
